The Super Snail

There should be a Giant African Snail movie, although you'd have to watch it in fast-forward to keep from falling asleep. Learn more about this fascinating creature here...

Weng Weng - Teency Superstar

Behold, the best video you will see all day! This is Weng Weng and even though his stylings are as impressive, I don't think he's any relation to 'Little Superstar'.
Proof that even teency people can kick a**. And yes, he will steal your heart away.

Rock It Out

Thanks Jabes.

Some Funny

My Dad sent me the first video, and it was so cute I had to post it. Great for a laugh! The second video has some of the same clips as the first one, but it's very funny as well. Thought I'd post a little happy for today. :)

I think I might be moving...

Finally, the world's first underwater restaurant! This is from their press release earlier today:

The Maldives | 15 April marks the day that the first ever all-glass undersea restaurant in the world opens its doors for business at the Hilton Maldives Resort & Spa. Ithaa* will sit five meters below the waves of the Indian Ocean, surrounded by a vibrant coral reef and encased in clear acrylic offering diners 270-degrees of panoramic underwater views.

"We have used aquarium technology to put diners face-to-face with the stunning underwater environment of the Maldives", says Carsten Schieck, General Manager of Hilton Maldives Resort & Spa. "Our guests always comment on being blown away by the colour, clarity, and beauty of the underwater world in the Maldives, so it seemed the perfect idea to build a restaurant where diners can experience fine cuisine and take time to enjoy the views - without ever getting their feet wet."

Created by MJ Murphy Ltd, a design consultancy based in New Zealand, Ithaa's distinctive feature is the use of curved transparent acrylic walls and roof, similar to those used in aquarium attractions. "The fact that the entire restaurant except for the floor is made of clear acrylic makes this unique in the world," continues Schieck, "We are currently planting a coral garden on the reef to add to the spectacular views of the rays, sharks and many colourful fish that live around the area.

Where I'd rather be right now. If only it was closer. Sigh.

Get Your Creative On

If you need a little time-waste, or are just in the mood for some internet fun (and not in a bad way, laugh out loud) then check out WetPaintPleaseTouch.com. It's a cool little site that lets you create your own digital masterpiece using a variety of media. You can either start a new painting, or choose one from the gallery, and add to it. I found the 'Dragons Rule' painting in the gallery, and just had to post it. I think it's oddly delightful that someone out there feels so strongly about dragons.

"The Landlord"

Hilarious short film about mean landlords. Oh, and Will Ferrell is in it. Click here to check it out!

Flying the Furry Skies...

Filed under the category of 'Why Didn't Someone Do This Sooner?', a Japanese airline named Eva Air has introduced a Hello Kitty themed fleet of planes. Everything from the uniforms (see above) to the food is branded with some sort of Hello Kitty cuteness. Even the boarding passes are pink! To see the interestingly translated article and some more great photos, click here.

Deck the walls....

Below are some wallpaper images to use on your desktop if you so desire. If you click on the photo, it will open up the higher resolution image on a new page, and you can just copy that to your desktop. I'll add more later on, but an awesome person I know needed some more neutral pics, so here you go!

Just wanted to say Congrats to Poecat and Jaybird who welcomed a precious baby boy into their family today. He is cute with a capital K! And Congrats to Shell Bell and Scott who also welcomed a beautiful baby boy into their family last week. He is super adorable! Congrats on your precious little bundles of joy! And last but not least, a big Congrats to my friends Jameson and Ashleymon who are both preggers. Drinks for everyone! (except the moms-to-be!)

Blades of Glory: Kick Some Ice...

Went with my friend Poecat (and the soon-to-be-born Poje) to see 'Blades of Glory', the latest piece of comedy greatness from Will Ferrell. We saw it in the afternoon, so I figured there would be a pretty empty theater, but alas that was not the case. Lucky for us, we had a band of crazy office ladies seated directly behind us, who giggled insanely at anything remotely funny (even trailers for scary movies), so we knew when to laugh during the movie. They even gave us a new word: Disturbia-ing. Thanks ladies. Anyhoo, the movie was great, lots of great one-liners, some hilarious moments between Ferrell and Heder, and of course the great Craig T. Nelson (playing a coach, what else?). The husband and wife team of Will Arnett and Amy Poehler was great too. Having a married couple play a sexually ambiguous brother and sister ice skating duo? Comedy gold is what that is! I recommend this movie to all 2 of you that occasionally, but most likely accidentally, end up on this blog page situation. Even though one of you has already seen it. This movie kicks ice!
(okay, i copied that last part from the poster, but it's funny. Isn't it good to be able to laugh a little bit?)

'300' Redux...

I promise this isn't just a cat-topics only site, but this was too good not to post. The '300' the studio didn't want you to see...
