Can you say 2 gifts in 1?

Chanel. Louis Vuitton. Beef jerky. Someone's finally brought them together, and it's about time. Jerky rules.

Totally nuts. Possibly useful.

This is completely wheels off. Seriously, really?
Could be the perfect gift though, I'll have to check some reviews...

The logo says it all, or not enough...

Wow, Taiwan is one crazy place. I'm guessing it's the diapers they are selling out of their vending machines, not the actual turds, or babies. Cute logo though. Love the grill.

Still getting to know my iPhone, hugging it out.

Well this little gadget really is pretty neat, cool games (free) and helpful apps (free) but I think I'd like to try getting to know it on another level. Might start putting the calendar to use, doing some syncing, you know, just letting our love blossom and see where it takes us, my iPhone and I. But since I paid for it, is that legal? I'll find an app for that, and it better be free!

Technology is nuts.

I'm blogging from my new timewaste/gadget of the century, the iPhone. It's already won me over by comforting me through the tech loss. Seriously, did that really happen? Don't answer that. Yay Frogs, and iPhone's...

It's funny when dogs talk.

Please enjoy the actual video, and a video response, posted below. I've heard from a trusted source that these are great for ring tones too. :)

Stuff that Smells Terrific. Yum.

I've been told that I'm slacking on my blog lately, so I'm going to hit it hard, with a soft subject. Um, yeah. Here are some things that I've had my eye/nose on lately. Some I've actually smelled in person, some I have only seen and maybe it's the packaging, but they look like they smell delicious. I'll start off with one I haven't bought because it's a little pricey for a candle, let's be honest, but it smells insanely good.

Henri Bendel
9.4 oz. Filled Candle
Vanilla Bean
$26

Of course, Kiehl's had to be included. I am still loving my Cranberry lotion/soap, though like a fine frozen marg, I enjoy them slowly. The Coconut variety sounds like it might be scentalicious. Hmmm... Can't seem to find a photo for it, and it seems to be out of stock in some places. Here's a Kiehl's product I know kicks a** and it smells so good, I can't even tell you...

Kiehl's Since 1851 Extra-Strength
Conditioning Rinse with Coconut 8.4oz

$21.00

This one is a perfume I got a little sample bottle of recently, thanks to Erik's aunt Shera who is always so sweet to send me little perfume treats. The latest one she sent is part of the Harajuku Lovers set, which is headed up by Gwen Stefani. Each scent represents one of the little Harajuku chicks, but I like 'G' the best. It's coconutty and smells so good you want to lick it off your arm. The little mini's are the cutest, and portable!

'G'
1 oz eu de toillete

$45

Well, I'll definitely put some more stuff up here soon. I know there are more scentalicous things out there, but these three are at the top of the current list. I'll keep my nose open though. More to come! (she said it, and she knows she did)

"Now that's a Maverick!"

Note to all two/three of my readership, I'm not posting this to take sides, but it's darn funny! For starters, it's got Dirk in it (reason enough to post it 20 times) and the pit bull with lipstick is precious. You have to find him though... Maverick!

Geek-o-ween

Here are some great ideas for carving your own little geek-themed Halloween pumpkins. You might want to start early, as it looks like some of these could take a while!

I Can Has Cheezburger.

Well, it was a good weekend, but it ended with Cowboys sadness. Happiness ensued Saturday though, as the Longhorns and Red Raiders won their games and I won $115 at Winstar Casino, on the Indiana Jones game no less. Erik won on it in Cripple Creek, CO, so I guess it was my turn. I had a great time hanging out with my family for my uncle's birthday, and my cousin Jessie and I had a harrowing car ride, getting lost in Wise county, and finding our way just in time! It was like a very dramatic country song. :)

My brother Art has updated his blog at long last, and he's found a gem of a site, called ICanHasCheezburger.com. Very cute and funny photos, written in the imagined inner voice of a cat.

To take away some of the Cowboy loss sadness, I've posted some 'cheezburger' kittone photos. It won't fully take away the memory of that last embarrassing play, but it might soothe the pain just a little. $#!*%@* Cowboys!

No jury duty. Sudoku overload...

I lucked out, and didn't get picked for jury duty today. Had to come back to be in a reserve group, but luckily didn't have to do any jury sitting. What are the odds? I'm glad, but it would have been nice to do my civic duty. Maybe next time. I did get a lot of reading done for book club, which I'm behind on as usual. Also, I think I almost overdosed on Sudoku. Crackdoku...? Still the best time waste EVER. Soooo, that's exciting. I hope all three of you are intrigued for what might happen tomorrow. It's Tuesday after all. Some would say it's the best day.

This week, my favorite day will be Thursday. New episode of 'The Office'!!!!!!! It's like TV Christmas. Party!

Jury doodie

duty tomorrow.

This photo makes my brain crazy. There's nowhere for the eyes to rest. That being said, it does make me smile. I love the little bit of pink in 'tiny's' hair and the fact that he/she is giving 'live long and prosper' fingers. You know he/she is thinking 'my shoes are so much cooler and more appropriate than yours, giant lady girl."

I hope jury duty goes well tomorrow. 'Going well' would mean A) I don't get picked, or B) I get picked for the shortest trial of all time. Maybe one where no one is suing, maybe it's just a set-up surprise party for one of the lawyers. I need sleep.

Cowboys rule, Packers drool.

Yay Cowbs! So far, it's looking like the Dallas Cowboys are about to about to get their first 'win' at Lambeau Field. I hope I don't jinx it by writing this. I know how far-reaching this blog is, all three readers (might be overestimating my readership population). Hey, as long as our defense stays tight and Romo quits with the intentional grounding penalties, I think we got this. Sidenote: that Miles Austin, he's all right. Go Cowbs!

UPDATE: Cowboys win. History made. Mark it down.

Problems with Sandwich Thievery?

Well here's a solution for you. Pretty darn genius, as long as they don't keep you from noticing your sandwich really is moldy.

I guess this lady makes them for you, because they are probably pretty complicated. Wonder what she charges...

"I Aduyar theeit Meeyin"

Hey there, just thought I'd put up some photos from Yesterday. We ventured out to Cripple Creek, which is very old, very pretty, very small and has some very very stingy casinos. It's such a pretty drive out there, as long as you do it when it's not dark and/or rainy! We rode the Narrow Guage Railway train when we got there, which is more of a historic informational train ride, to show you some of the still-standing mines from many years ago. As you can see in one of the photos, there is a very very large mine still in operation, which happens to be an African-owned mine. Think they've taken in over 20 Million already.

Soooo, Erik did well on the slot machines, and I was not so lucky/skilled. It's okay, I was happy for Erik. Today we went into Colorado Springs to pay a visit to this little jeans store called Colorado Co-op, and they were having a sale on what else, JEANS! Oh happy day! Got a couple of things there and Erik found some super cool t-shirts at a comic shop down the street. We also checked out an Arts Festival, which was just ok, but very busy, full of people, dogs and stuff people made with dogs on them. It's been a fun trip so far, seeing lots of sites, lots of dogs (everyone has them, but here, they wear less outfits and stuff, more rustic dogs...) Tonight we found a mini golf hangout in CO Sprigs, and it turned out to be probably the coolest mini golf course we'd ever been to! (Erik won both games, I've over it...)

We're staying in the same place as last year, which is right at the foot of Pike's Peak. Apparently they have a marathon that runs up to Pike's Peak. Just thinking of that makes my brain do the crazy dance! We've done a lot of outside stuff, enjoying the cooler weather and scenery. Tomorrow we might (gasp) go to their mall. Hey, I need some Perfume that I'm out of and I just want to see how they roll here, mall wise. I want to hit up the Cheyenne Zoo in CO Spigs, so hopefully we can do that too. It's great here, but I miss Funky Town, my kitties and my job. (totally paid to say that!) I'll try to post some tomorrow (Monday). We're having a great time, people watching and adventuring. Oh, and in the last pic, it appears as though my legs have become even more double jointed. I found this demo, just hoping my legs don't end up like that, but it's close. I think I need some Forest Gump leg braces.

The name of the post is in reference to a totally kick a** girl fight that Erik and I witnessed/overheard when we stopped to eat at a remodeled train station restaurant in Colo Spigs. I guess some kind of rehearsal dinner was going on? Very schmancy. Anyhoo, seems they invited an ex-girlfriend of the groom, had an open bar, and voila, fireworks. She kept going on loudly about how she still cared for him, blah blah, and in the most northeastern accent, she said 'I adore that man, she should understand that!'. So I tried to spell it phonetically. Not sure if I was successful...
Well, I hope if you're reading this your not bored, for starters, and that you are having a great weekend. Time for me to get some zzzz's. Don't get swept away by Gustav!

Magic shoes xo cho,
amy

Wrecking Crew wins!

April, Monica, Amanda and I went to see a friend compete in girl's Roller Derby bout. It was so much more fun than I had imagined, and more intense! Those girls compete! I was sort of surprised and let down that there were no fights, but I guess that wouldn't be sports-lady-like (as they refer to it). I'll post some photos later, but for now, I thought I'd let Heath do the honors. Thanks Heath. We miss ya.

Letting him down gently...

Here's a photo of a charming little Chameleon, telling Brett Favre, "Go away now, it's best for everyone. You're a man. You're 40." Chameleons just know.

Go Cowbs!

It's Like You're On Grass...

...because you're walking on grass. I would possibly maybe give them a try. Here's a link to the article, though I'm not sure what they have to do with Krispy Kreme donuts. Maybe little baby donuts sprout up in the grass. That would make them healthy donuts right?
