No jury duty. Sudoku overload...

I lucked out, and didn't get picked for jury duty today. Had to come back to be in a reserve group, but luckily didn't have to do any jury sitting. What are the odds? I'm glad, but it would have been nice to do my civic duty. Maybe next time. I did get a lot of reading done for book club, which I'm behind on as usual. Also, I think I almost overdosed on Sudoku. Crackdoku...? Still the best time waste EVER. Soooo, that's exciting. I hope all three of you are intrigued for what might happen tomorrow. It's Tuesday after all. Some would say it's the best day.

This week, my favorite day will be Thursday. New episode of 'The Office'!!!!!!! It's like TV Christmas. Party!

Jury doodie

duty tomorrow.

This photo makes my brain crazy. There's nowhere for the eyes to rest. That being said, it does make me smile. I love the little bit of pink in 'tiny's' hair and the fact that he/she is giving 'live long and prosper' fingers. You know he/she is thinking 'my shoes are so much cooler and more appropriate than yours, giant lady girl."

I hope jury duty goes well tomorrow. 'Going well' would mean A) I don't get picked, or B) I get picked for the shortest trial of all time. Maybe one where no one is suing, maybe it's just a set-up surprise party for one of the lawyers. I need sleep.

Cowboys rule, Packers drool.

Yay Cowbs! So far, it's looking like the Dallas Cowboys are about to about to get their first 'win' at Lambeau Field. I hope I don't jinx it by writing this. I know how far-reaching this blog is, all three readers (might be overestimating my readership population). Hey, as long as our defense stays tight and Romo quits with the intentional grounding penalties, I think we got this. Sidenote: that Miles Austin, he's all right. Go Cowbs!

UPDATE: Cowboys win. History made. Mark it down.

Ain't no party like a Raccoon party....

Problems with Sandwich Thievery?

Well here's a solution for you. Pretty darn genius, as long as they don't keep you from noticing your sandwich really is moldy.

I guess this lady makes them for you, because they are probably pretty complicated. Wonder what she charges...

"I Aduyar theeit Meeyin"

Hey there, just thought I'd put up some photos from Yesterday. We ventured out to Cripple Creek, which is very old, very pretty, very small and has some very very stingy casinos. It's such a pretty drive out there, as long as you do it when it's not dark and/or rainy! We rode the Narrow Guage Railway train when we got there, which is more of a historic informational train ride, to show you some of the still-standing mines from many years ago. As you can see in one of the photos, there is a very very large mine still in operation, which happens to be an African-owned mine. Think they've taken in over 20 Million already.

Soooo, Erik did well on the slot machines, and I was not so lucky/skilled. It's okay, I was happy for Erik. Today we went into Colorado Springs to pay a visit to this little jeans store called Colorado Co-op, and they were having a sale on what else, JEANS! Oh happy day! Got a couple of things there and Erik found some super cool t-shirts at a comic shop down the street. We also checked out an Arts Festival, which was just ok, but very busy, full of people, dogs and stuff people made with dogs on them. It's been a fun trip so far, seeing lots of sites, lots of dogs (everyone has them, but here, they wear less outfits and stuff, more rustic dogs...) Tonight we found a mini golf hangout in CO Sprigs, and it turned out to be probably the coolest mini golf course we'd ever been to! (Erik won both games, I've over it...)

We're staying in the same place as last year, which is right at the foot of Pike's Peak. Apparently they have a marathon that runs up to Pike's Peak. Just thinking of that makes my brain do the crazy dance! We've done a lot of outside stuff, enjoying the cooler weather and scenery. Tomorrow we might (gasp) go to their mall. Hey, I need some Perfume that I'm out of and I just want to see how they roll here, mall wise. I want to hit up the Cheyenne Zoo in CO Spigs, so hopefully we can do that too. It's great here, but I miss Funky Town, my kitties and my job. (totally paid to say that!) I'll try to post some tomorrow (Monday). We're having a great time, people watching and adventuring. Oh, and in the last pic, it appears as though my legs have become even more double jointed. I found this demo, just hoping my legs don't end up like that, but it's close. I think I need some Forest Gump leg braces.

The name of the post is in reference to a totally kick a** girl fight that Erik and I witnessed/overheard when we stopped to eat at a remodeled train station restaurant in Colo Spigs. I guess some kind of rehearsal dinner was going on? Very schmancy. Anyhoo, seems they invited an ex-girlfriend of the groom, had an open bar, and voila, fireworks. She kept going on loudly about how she still cared for him, blah blah, and in the most northeastern accent, she said 'I adore that man, she should understand that!'. So I tried to spell it phonetically. Not sure if I was successful...
Well, I hope if you're reading this your not bored, for starters, and that you are having a great weekend. Time for me to get some zzzz's. Don't get swept away by Gustav!

Magic shoes xo cho,
