To a deluxe apartment, in the sky-y-yyy...

We're finally moved. Loving the house! Been doing a lot of cleaning, unpacking and arranging, fitting freelance work into the spare moments. It's great out here, very quiet at night and lots of frog singing and various wildlife roaming around. So far we've seen some deer, several large cat/coyote footprints, and smelled a skunk or two. I'll post some photos later on, once I find my camera battery charger...

p.s. that is actually a guy living in a nest, on the side of a building. Creative or extremely lame?

Two S's, two L's.

This photo is worth a thousand and one words. Big ups to Sam Cassell. Go Boston!

Prepare yourself...

Click here to see a list of the 15 Filthiest Homes in America (reaction shot above). There are only a couple of photos, but I'm not complaining.

It shocks you, it shocks you...

Possibly the best sign ever.

Things that make a house a home.

Well, I'm currently trying to buy a home with my hubbs, and have now become mildly addicted to the channel know as HGTV. I love before and afters, so I think that's why this channel is so appealing. (By the way, this guy is great.) Also, due to the adventure filled home search, I have started noticing more and more, things that would look super fine in the future-house (that we don't have yet). I think I'm going to start posting some of these gems on this here b-log, so hold on to your hat. It's about to get homestyle up in the hizz.

Hell yeah.

Yeah, it's made out of Mac II's. Practical and cozy.

Steroids?

"Falling Slowly"

Such a pretty song. I'm glad this won the Oscar. If you haven't seen the movie, you should! It's called "Once" and it's definitely worth checking out.

Here's the trailer:

Hot.

I'm not a fashionista, but this looks fierce, and fashion forward. If only it rained more here!

They use stencils?

Dressed like this, I would guess that your child could also be in the band Linkin Park, or a member of the JabbaWockeeZ or Fysh N Chicks dance crews. Pop and lock.

"I think I shall soon."

This is the smartest thing I've read all day. And the funniest. Sammy is a genius. I found this bit of greatness on Weemade, a blog dedicated to showcasing children's artwork. They accept submissions, but my cats' artwork is far too superior to be accepted, no question. The folks at Weemade might have gotten the idea from this site. Still one of the best email forwards I've ever received.

This is how to do a day-off. Smooches.

I hope no one's in there...

Behold, a "hidden toilet" in China that remains out of sight until you plunk in a coin. Then it’ll rise up to the surface so you can use the bathroom. I just hope there is a vent in the top. Seems wrong to bottle up the bathroomness underground like that. Wonder what the time limit is...

Teence.

Yes it has some size challenges, but the yard is spiffy and i like the pointy roof. We can't all live by private schools.

Seriously though, this is an actual house in Toronto that the builder and his wife lived in for 20 years. 20 freaking years! I think my cats would get claustrophobic in there.

Mark. (I think)

Weekends are fun.

Well, it was a cold and snowy weekend, but those kind of weekends are the best kind when you're in the mood for snow surfing (photo above). Kidding of course, but it was a good weekend nonetheless. I actually got some stuff done: car inspection (out since November, oops), returning really bad Jonathan Product shampoo to Ulta, grocery shopping, and the Mavs won!!! They came out swinging from the get go and kept it up almost the entire game. High fives all around!!!!

So now it's Saturday night, and there are just a few more things to get done before we head to Dallas Sunday night to see Van Morrison in concert. The tickets were a bit much, but I think it's important to see your favorite bands/musicians whenever possible, no matter what. So I snapped up two tickets for part of Erik's Christmas gift. I hope Van puts on a great show, or Erik might rush the stage. I'll film it if he does.

I hope you are having a great weekend too. I know all the TCU-ites out there are loving life, as they won their bowl game 20-13. Congrats Frogs!

Now Go Cowboys, even it doesn't matter that much. And Go Tech too! (January 1st)

Hello.

Well, I know it's been an eternity since I've posted anything, but I'm bringing it hard core, to the front door, 'til my hands are sore. (stop) I hope you had a very merry Christmas, with good times, twinkly lights and all the trimmings. I had a great Christmas, and came home with way too much stuff.

The Cowboys won, as did the Mavericks (tonight doesn't count) and I got to go work today, so it's been a marvelous week so far. Gosh I'm spoiled. I'll work harder on posting stuff, so my readership will have something to look forward to, all 3 of you.

If you feel it put your hands up. Hood.

Shock'er.

Cowbs defeat the Giants 31-20, and all is right with the world.
No mercy. Yes sensei.

D-Harp loves calendars.

The Mavs were defeated by the Portland Trailblazers on the road Saturday night, but luckily there was some good strong funny to lessen the pain. Watch and enjoy as Derek Harper tells you how he really feels about the Mavs Dancers calendar. Oh jeez...
